I gotta tell you this afternoon’s performance was breathtaking! Tchaikovsky and Piazzolla were the best that I’ve heard anywhere! Truly electrifying! Thank you so much!

Calvary by the Sea is a beautiful chapel. The church frequently permits choirs and bands from around the world to perform in their wonderful space. However, the Hawaii Chamber Music Festival was the first strings organization to have a concert there.

The performance was dominated by Mann-wen Lo, who performed on every piece on the program. She is a stunning powerhouse. This concert was also Shanice Aaron’s debut performance with HCMF on piano!

The Navarra was a magnificent show, bringing out the fun and best qualities of the violin.

The Borodin quartet musicians unveiled the most colorful and romantic music. The success was major considering that they only needed one day to rehearse this entire work.

The Piazzolla was a crowd favorite, bringing about the exuberant energy of tango and jazz.

Souvenir de Florence was absolutely breathtaking. Audience members gave jaw-dropping reactions at the end of each movement from the grand finales to the restful endings.

“Rushin to Russia” was a fantastic concert! The Olympic Artists left a positive impression and impact on the community. We could not ask for a more talented and passionate group of musicians. It a pleasure to perform at Calvary by the Sea.

Special thanks to Tom Poole, Director of Worship & The Arts, for making this concert possible!
