THANK YOU FOR AN AMAZING 2023 SEASON!

We had an incredible summer featuring over 20 artists and our Ellen Masaki Ohana Series (featuring 7 concert events) with numerous local collaborators. To all of our sponsors, donors, patrons, staff, volunteers, music lovers, and everyone in our ohana, we are grateful! None of this would have been possible without the support of the community. It was a season of celebrations!

Our tuition-free Young Artist Program (YAP) featured 22 talented local students from schools all over Oahu. Students received instruction from our world-class clinician lineup and performed three concerts in just two weeks. Together with our educational partner, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, we created our first-ever ‘quartet in residence’, The Kaimana Quartet. Comprised of graduate students, YAP participants received chamber music coachings and the opportunity to perform side-by-side with the quartet members.

Our impact extended beyond our Young Artist Program. This season, we featured a world premiere by local composer Logyn Okuda, ‘Return to Sky’, which was performed by our INPAC Chamber Orchestra and conducted by Jake Taniguchi. In collaboration with the Masaki School of Music and their 70th anniversary, we featured students from the Masaki School of Music in community concerts at The Kahala Hotel & Resort on World Music Day. Investing in youth is our specialty.

MAHALO to the The Kahala Hotel & Resort for being our 2023 Title Presenting Sponsor. We extend our gratitude to our other major sponsors which include Treehouse Production Hawaii, Kaimana Beach Hotel, INPAC Wealth Solutions, Masaki School of Music, Piano Planet Hawaii, Hawaii Senior Care, Fabric Mart, Luxury Row, and Alaska Airlines.

On behalf of the Hawaii Chamber Music Festival, we look forward to continuing to serve Hawaii by performing world-class music and inspiring the next generation.

Stay tuned for exciting updates and announcements! We’ll be posting more photos soon.
