The Wave Of Life
The Hawaii Chamber Music Festival will finish its second season on Sunday, May 26, in a collaborative concert with the Hawaii International Music Festival as they wrap up their third season. Based on the theme of water, HCMF and HIMF present The Wave of Life, a program which will feature Franz Schubert’s celebrated String Quintet in C Major and other masterworks.
The concert will feature internationally acclaimed artists in collaboration with some of Hawaii’s finest musicians. The artist lineup will include Tchaikovsky Prize-winning violinist Eric Silberger, internationally acclaimed Metropolitan soprano Amy Shoremount Obra, pianist Carlin Ma, New York violist Andrew Gonzalez, and Louisiana Philharmonic Assistant Principal Cellist Daniel Lelchuk. Joining them will be Hawaii Symphony Concertmaster Ignace Jang, Hawaii Symphony Associate Principal Cellist Sung Chan Chang, and University of Hawaii: Manoa’s Jonathan Korth.
